Meet Your Teacher

Martin Rosado

I have been making music since the 1990's and started playing guitar in high school around my freshman year. After high school in 2001 I moved to Brooklyn, New York to try my luck as a folk singer-songwriter. It was lots of fun and I learned a lot of valuable lessons about music and life in general. The music scene was incredible! I started running a music night with a fellow musician once a week in a venue in Greenwich Village in downtown Manhattan. We scouted out the best songwriter musicians talent in the area and hosted them once a week while we continued to preform alongside them. It was a great experience musically and I learned a lot from an amazing group of people dedicated to sharing their music with the world.

After playing the music scene in New York for a few years, I decided that I wanted to do something different with music. I moved back to Florida to attend a local community college and started to learn classical guitar. During this time, I worked for three years as a "healing artist" at a hospital, where I played guitar in lobbies, waiting rooms, and by patients’ bedsides. It was an unforgettable experience and I learned a great deal about music in the healthcare profession. In 2008, I was accepted into the Florida State University School of Music. I continued to study the classical guitar and also learned about music therapy. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music in 2010. Currently, I reside in Georgia with my wife and our son who is growing into a young musician in his own right. I can't wait to see what music will bring him to his life and being  there to help him in the right direction.

All through the years I have continued to grow my skills as a guitarist and songwriter. I would love to share my expertise and experience with anyone that has a love of music, and a heart for learning the craft of guitar and or songwriting. Music touches the soul and is a universal language that crosses all boundaries. Your age does not matter but your desire to learn does! Children will benefit from learning in a positive way and be influenced to bring out their best, not only as a music student but as a positive individual. Those that are older but young at heart or are seeking a new creative outlet are strongly encouraged to learn and grow as well. Any background that you have in life will promote a different style and your own artistic touch. Everyone has a lot to bring to the table. There are no exceptions!

I am now excepting students of all ages. Let's build a positive relationship and make some great music together, I will help you every step of the way...

Till then may God's blessings be upon you!
